'Helping you to help our wildlife' is the Bird Venture ethos encouraging everyone to provide habitats, shelter, food and water for our native wildlife.

Paul Laurie & Julie May are the owners of Bird Ventures and the business is based in the retail shop in Holt, Norfolk. The Holt shop opened in October 2003 and has proved very successful, as has the online shop.

Customers can visit the shop in Holt; Monday - Saturday 9am - 5.30pm and on Sundays during July, August and December.

Bird Ventures is a specialist supplier of wildlife products and nature study equipment. We also give advice and help on all aspects of wildlife gardening and are happy to answer any questions are customers may have regarding British wildlife. If you require any help with choosing an item to suit a certain nesting bird or to discourage larger birds or squirrels then please contact the shop.

Paul Laurie is an expert bird watcher leading bird watching tours throughout the year seeing over 250 species in Norfolk. Paul also studies moths, butterflies and dragonflies.

Paul & Julie are keen naturalists and have recorded over 40 bird species from the shop in Holt and regularly have displays of caterpillars and moths in the shop for customers to see.

Many of the items sold by Bird Ventures support nature reserves, sustainable woodland and local businesses. The Wild Bird Food from Bradfield Hall Farm supports a 100 acre nature reserve which is open to the public and has many breeding farmland birds including Grey Partridge, Yellowhammer and Quail.
