Skinner Moth Trap

The Skinner Moth Trap is ideal for the garden, park and farm. Being able to trap, study and then release the moths is a fascinating hobby. With hundreds of species and many being very common, even in rural areas.

 The Skinner trap is a wooden box which collaspes flat for easy travelling and has a electrical "choke". The mercury 125 watt bulb attracts moth from good distances. 

 The light can be put on at dusk and left until dawn when the box should be full of moths resting on the egg boxes placed in the bottom of the trap.

The moths can then be released at dusk by removing the plastic sheets.
